When we are different, very few family traditions are shared. Each relative has their own way of living. Traditions seem to reject obligations that a person has, so plates are not set at the table. The sight of chairs that once sat small children are empty. There are no smells of pumpkin pies that once had little teeth biting into. There are no cinnamon spices to fill the air, so visitors can comment on the beautiful smells of the season. Learning the religious aspect of Christianity requires few traditional methods. I enjoy Christmas with Andonai, as he came to die for my sins.

Your reflection on family traditions and the evolving dynamics is deeply poignant. The absence of familiar sights, scents, and sounds can make the holiday season bittersweet. It’s interesting how you mention the simplicity of learning the religious aspect of Christianity, finding solace in the significance of Christmas. How do you personally navigate and create new traditions amid the changes?
